CEBU CITY, Philippines — Staffvirtual Careers, a BPO company based in Makati mounted a charity event at various mountain barangays of Manipis, City of Talisay on Saturday, October 16, led by its COO Fiona Lideza, together with her team from Cebu and Manila offices.
Over 250 families were given bundles of groceries, toys for kids, and different kinds of merchandise as part of the company’s CSR in helping underprivileged communities of Fiona’s hometown, fulfilling her promise to help those in need.
Fiona Lideza was crowned the Miss Tourism City of Talisay in 2016 and part of her advocacy is to empower people, especially the ones who lack the opportunities in life, as a way of giving back to share her blessings.
Scholarship programs and career guidance seminars will also be part of the strategic plans of the company through the energetic leadership of Lideza bringing the company’s growth to employ more people in the many untapped provinces of the country.
According to Fiona, Staffvirtual careers plans to do this reach-out program annually and will work on a long-term plan in continuing their social responsibility, promising to give away computers and office supplies, and possibly be able to mount job fairs which are all in the pipeline in the next five years.
