To give break from the pressures of work to the elementary and high school teachers, the Division of Cebu City Basketball Club (DCCBC) organized a basketball league that will fall on all Saturdays of the month until November 8 at Inayawan gym. There are a total of eight teams that will be competing against one another, each composed of teachers and non-teaching individuals from the different barangays of Cebu City.
Christian Dela Peña, Principal of Inayawan Elementary School and Chairman of DCCBC said that it is a way of providing an avenue for the teachers to not limit themselves in the confines of the classroom. The activity also aims to strengthen camaraderie among teachers.
DepED VII Schools Division Superintendent Ms. Rhea Mar Angtud also graced the opening of the event who was glad that the activity was realized.This activity is in partnership with Cebu City Sports Commission and the Department of Education VII.
