A spinster was found dead inside her house in barangay Caliriohan, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu Tuesday afternoon.
Natividad Amacna, 73, was found half-naked at the kitchen of her house.
The crime was discovered after a relative, James Enopia, came to visit her.
Enopia said he was surprised to find the house locked when he arrived.
He asked neighbors for help to forcibly open the door.
They found Amacna sprawled on the kitchen floor. PO3 Rodrigo Teo said they believe the woman was raped but they will have to wait for the result of the autopsy for confirmation.
