2 killed in Calamba shooting
Two persons were killed and another one was injured after three men shot them in barangay Calamba, Cebu City early morning yesterday.
Killed were Lando Medalle, 27, and Francis Pangatoan, 22, errand boys of Vivencio “Jun-jun” Baldesamo, 44, who was critically wounded in the attack.
Police said the attack may have something to do with the illegal drug trade.
Police said Baldesamo was charged with drug cases in the past but was able to post bail.
Police said Baldesamo was the target of an ambush last year on P. Del Rosario Street in Cebu City.
He survived the attack but his companion was killed.
In the recent attack, the victims were talking outside Baldesamo’s house in sitio Mahayahay when three men arrived and peppered them with bullets.
According to the witnesses, the three gunman casually walked away after the attack.
Baldesamo was taken to a hospital.
PO3 Retzel Berry, homicide investigator, said several spent shells of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered in the crime scene.
