TO those who are interested to pursue a hospitality career aboard a cruise ship, a merchant ship and other cargo/carrier ships like tankers, vessels and ferries, the University of Cebu is now offering classes on Ships’ Catering Services NC I.
This is a seven-day TESDA-Accredited Short-Term course. The ships’ Catering Services training program is designed to equip potential workers with skills in preparing, handling and serving the food and drink requirements, delivering basic housekeeping services, practicing food safety, sanitation and hygiene onboard.
Graduates of this course can qualify to become a Messman, a vessel crew, a steward or a galley utility man. Classes will start on January 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
