CEBU CITY, Philippines — Residents in the northern part of Cebu need not to travel far as the new Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO-7) opened its new district office in Liloan town.

The LTO-7 Liloan district office was inaugurated on October 13, 2023, Friday, and its operations started officially on Monday, October 16.

The Liloan district office is the 16th LTO district office in the region. It is located at the second level of Pier 88 in Barangay Cogon Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu.

According to LTO, it is also the 33rd office of LTO-7 region-wide including extension, licensing, driver’s license renewal, and mobile offices.

LTO-7 Regional Director Glen Galario said that all licenses and registrations can now be availed through the said new office.

According to Congressman Duke Frasco, the establishment of the new LTO district office is in accordance with Republic Act 11741 which is an act that mandates establishing a district branch of the LTO in the Municipality of Liloan.

Frasco said in his Facebook post that the opening of the new LTO-7 district office in the municipality seeks “to give convenience to motorists for transportation-related transactions.”

Can accomodate 50 people

“They do not need to go to the city to get their licenses and process their renewal for registration because we already have a new office in Liloan, this will be a big help to our clients in Northern Cebu,” Galario said.

During the opening, Galario revealed that LTO is not paying any rental fees in its new office in Liloan.

“We are always grateful for partnerships like this because aside from the easy access for the public, it is also very comfy and convenient,” said Galario.
