Opao beats Labogon in Mandaue Mayor’s Cup Volleyball tourney
BARANGAY Opao edged out Barangay Labogon, 25-23, 25-20, in the Mandaue City Mayor’s Cup Volleyball Tournament last Wednesday at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.
Top scorer for Team Opao was Dindo Alilin
In the first game, Subangdaku scored an automatic win against Paknaan by default while Guizo defeated Casuntingan, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, in the second game.
Louie Jay Ermac showed off his off-speed attacks and powerful spikes in leading Guizo to the win.
In the third game, Centro escaped a gritty Cubacub squad, 25-27, 25-19, 25-19, behind John Tormis.
