HRRACI Sportsfest 2024 basketball quarterfinals set on Friday

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The much-awaited quarterfinals of the Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu, Inc. (HRRACI) Sportsfest 2024’s basketball tournament will unfold on Friday, June 21, at the Capitol Parish Gym.

Bannering the upcoming quarterfinals are the unbeaten teams of Bai Hotel and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa.

Both teams are enjoying a clean 4-0 (win-loss) slate after their one-sided elimination round campaigns.

Completing the final eight are Seda Central Bloc, JPark Island Resort and Waterpark, Diamond Suites and Residences, and Belmont Hotel with identical 3-0 slates.

Kandaya Resort and Quest Hotel also advanced to the next stage for obtaining the highest total points among the 26 competing teams.

To recall, Bai Hotel and Shangri-La sealed their last remaining elimination round matches in lopsided fashion in the HRRACI Sportsfest.

Bai Hotel mauled Harold’s Hotel, 57-45, behind Junjay Bation who tallied 11 points, while Shangri-La obliterated Yello Hotel 96-30.

Over 33 properties competed not just in basketball, but in various sports in the HRRACI Sportsfest 2024.

The other sports that will be featured in this biennial event are badminton, table tennis, dodgeball, tug-of-war, track and field, and volleyball.
