Killed in Talisay

Two unidentified men on a motorcycle shot dead a 28-year-old tricycle driver in sitio Nonoc, barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, Cebu last Saturday afternoon.
Police said Giovannie Lasaga, who was recently released from prison after he was charged with robbery, was inside a shop to have his tricycle fixed when his assailants arrived.
Lasaga died after he was shot twice in the back of the head by the backrider.

Dalaguete

A angry 25-year-old farmer was arrested after he shot his wife for failing to borrow money from their neighbor.
Antonio Cuesta of barangay Bulak, Dalaguete Cebu was detained at the Dalaguete police station after he was turned over by barangay tanods who arrested him.
Police said Cuesta got his gun, fired at his wife but missed. He got angry when he learned that his wife had not brought the money he asked for.
The wife fled to her mother’s house. They sought help from tanods, who arrested Cuesta./Correspondent Rene F. Alima
Talamban road accident
A barangay Sambag 1 service vehicle hit a man and three parked motorcycles on Miñoza St., barangay Talamban, Cebu City.
A bystander, Mark Daligdig, sustained a foot injury and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the driver, Marlon Jagdon, accidentally stepped on the accelerator after the van ran over a big stone on the road.
Jagdon was on his way to the cemetery in barangay Pit-os and was following a funeral hearse when the accident happened.
Jagdon promised to shoulder the hospital expenses of Daligdig and pay for the repair of the damaged motorcycles.
