ONE Cebu party chairman and standard-bearer Winston Garcia said he will reveal his running mate in the 2016 elections when the party meets for a general assembly on October 11.
In a statement, Garcia said the party will announce its official candidates for the May 2016 elections, including who the Cebu party will support for president.
Garcia, in earlier forums leaned toward supporting Sen. Grace Poe of the Nationalist People’s Coalition due to his close ties with NPC leader Eduardo Cojuanco, his boss in San Miguel Corp.
But in the statement, he said he has not made any commitment yet to any national party because the matter is still being discussed by On Cebu officials.
One Cebu’s lineup for the towns and cities in the Cebu province will attend the gathering at White Gold House this Sunday.
Garcia’s sister, former governor Gwendolyn Garcia, is seeking reelection as House representative of Cebu’s 3rd district while a brother, Pablo John Garcia, will run for Congress in the newly created 7th district.
One Cebu candidates will be up against the Liberal Party bets in the province, led by Governor Hilario Davide III.
