A 34-YEAR-OLD old man was stabbed dead by his friend in an apartelle in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
Windsess Geijolos suffered multiple stab wounds in the body.
The suspect, Manuel Godinez, 30, was arrested after the incident.
Police said Godinez and his wife checked in at the apartelle to settle their differences.
Police said the wife had broken up with the man last week after learning that the man was having an illicit affair.
While the couple was trying to patch things up, Godinez asked Geijolos to come to the apartelle after he suspected that it was the victim who informed his wife about his alleged affair.
The two men argued and it escalated until the they figured in a fistfight.
Police said the victim drew a knife from his waist but the suspect overpowered him, took the knife and stabbed him repeatedly.
