Parkmall celebrates Sinulog with a month-long feast

By: PR January 14,2016 - 04:31 PM

While Sinulog parties are taking the limelight, Parkmall celebrates the Mother of All Festivals with the return of their Kumbira, Cebu’s Food Festival, for every weekend of the month.

Kicking off Kumbira was the Sutukil sa Parkmall on January 8-11 featuring dishes cooked in the three traditional Visayan styles, which are sugba, tuwa and kilaw.

Cebu’s famous lechon will be the highlight on Sinulog weekend with the Lechon Festival that includes the actual pig-roasting on January 15-17.

On January 22-24, Parkmall will gather the delicacies and specialties from around the province for the Flavors of Cebu expo.

The gastronomic Kumbira Festival is part of Parkmall’s Sugbo Fest, a month-long gathering of the finest of Cebu in celebration of the Sinulog season. Aside from the edible offerings, a feast for the eyes and ears is what Sugbo Fest is.

Festival gowns are on display at the West Lobby until January 14 before they come to life as festival queens don them during the Festival Queen Parade on January 15-17 from 3PM to 5PM.

The best of Bisrock awaits guests on January 16 with Bisrock bands such as  Mantikilya, Emping Kabisote, Braindamage, Southrace, Phylum and Agipo. The eargasmic experience is best enjoyed with the barkada, a bottle of beer and some lechon from the Lechon Festival.

To culminate Sugbo Fest is an exhibit featuring images and paintings of St. Joseph and Sto. Niño from January 23 to 30.
