Drug paraphernalia, appliances seized inside jail

SEVERAL drug paraphernalia and appliances were seized in a raid inside the male dormitory of the Cebu City jail in barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City at past 5 am today.

Chief Supt.Allan Iral, regional director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said the raid is part of the zero drug tolerance policy inside the jail. Raids were also done in Mandaue anď Lapu-Lapu City jails.

He said these random drug raids are aimed at stopping the delivery of drugs inside the jails. Iral said most detainees are drug offenders who use cell phones to continue their drug trade inside the jail
