2nd Tayud Futsal Cup gets underway in Consolacion
ALL IS set for today’s 2nd Tayud Futsal Cup, which will be held in two separate venues — at the Tayud Elementary School Gymnasium and Barangay Tayud Sports Complex in Consolacion town, northern Cebu.
A total of 31 teams will compete in the five-category tournament organized by the Tayud United Football Club and Barangay Tayud.
The tournament is one of the highlights of Tayud’s annual fiesta celebration.
The men’s open division has the most participants with nine competing teams, namely: Team Suzuki, Real Galaxy FC A and B, Cebu Technological University (CTU), Guardians Strikers FC, Hiroshi FC, Consolacion FC, Bisons FC and FC United.
The ladies open will have the Don Bosco Ladies FC, CTU, ERCO FC A and B, Talisay Razkals, host team Tayud United FC and Re-United FC. The under-18 girls will be contested by the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), Tayud United FC, San Roque FC, Re-United FC, Don Bosco Lilo-an and Barili FC.
Contending for the girls under-15 are Don Bosco Lilo-an A and B, Tayud United FC and Talisay Razkals FC, while the under-12 mixed will have Suba-Basbas FC, Talisay Razkals FC, Consolacion FC, Saint Augustine International School (SAIS) FC and Center for International Education (CIE) Lions FC.
