Calayan Medical Group in Oakridge Business Park along A.S. Fortuna St. in Mandaue City headed by the Calayan family Matriarch, Dr. Josefina V. Calayan, continues to help Cebuanos look and feel beautiful inside out. Calayan Medical Group which opened in Cebu almost a year ago is driven by passionate family of doctors spanning three generations. “I’ve raised my children and grandchildren with all my heart and soul, I’ve insipred them to love one another and help each other. I keep telling them that love begins at home and so as charity,” says Dr. J.V. Calayan who started the Calayan name in business along with her late husband Dr. Emeterio Calayan Jr.
The Calayans first opened a Calayan hospital in Quezon province in 1960s to inspire their children to become doctors. This venture lead them open a school, Calayan Educational Foundation in the 70s, which the Calayan family runs until today. For years, the family has passed on its expertise and their aspiration to serve others. Their commitment didn’t stop there, to help with every woman and man’s confidence they later on opened aesthetic clinics with a mission to make everyone feel good and look beautiful.
The Calayan family decided to open their first clinic in Cebu last June 8, 2015 amidst all the controversies and internal family issues milling around. Little did they know that the warmth of the Cebuanos will make them love Cebu and its people. In less than a year, the family made Cebu their home. “Our passion to be of service is our only drive. Most of my children and grandchildren are now devotees of Sto. Nino,” said the Matriarch.
