Two men allegedly involved in the robbery of an electronic bingo in Insular Square in Barangay Basak, Mandaue City on May 19 fell to authorities around 5:30 p.m. the other day.

Marly Jeo Saragena, 38, of Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City and Vincent Pinote, 36, of Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Looc, Mandaue City were arrested by the combined elements from the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), Theft and Robbery Section (TRS), and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) inside Bingo Boutique in Parkmall.

The suspects were positively identified by Jerson Palermo of Cassadore Security Agency as the same persons responsible for the May 19 robbery of e-bingo Insular Square branch where P68,000 were lost.

Their cohort, Roy Deiparine, 31, was earlier arrested on the same day at the parking lot of Insular Square. He was believed to be the lookout.

Insp. Zenaido Sanchez, Investigation and Detection Management Branch (IDMB) chief, said Palermo already noticed the presence of the suspects at e-bingo branch in Parkmall the past few days prompting him to call the police.

“Naniid kuno ang suspects didto sa outlet. Wala pod ni comment ang suspects kun sila ba gyud ang involved sa robbery (sa Insular Square dihang gipangutana) The suspects were observing the outlet. They also did not comment when asked if they were the same persons involved in the robbery (at Insular Square),” Sanchez said.

Police confiscated from Pinote’s possession a .45 revolver loaded with six bullets and four small sachets of suspected shabu.

Also recovered from Saragena were a .38 pistol with two bullets and four small sachets of alleged shabu.
