Tejero snags 4 gold medals in CCSC weekly dancesport tilt

DANCERS from Barangay Tejero shine bright in the penultimate leg of the Cebu City Sports Commission’s weekly barangay dancesport circuit competition last Saturday in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

Tejero bagged four gold medals, while dancers Labangon, City Central, Inayawan, Guadalupe and Talamban also made their presence felt.

In the Latin event, Tejero banked on behind Joshua Saad and Khristie Velez to rule the Junior Open dance, while John Glenn Villarante and Ann Mureen Rosales topped the Junior Close contest.

The pair of Joshua Caleb Saad and Jubilyn Sabino contributed to Tejero’s gold medal haul by ruling the College Youth Standard Open, while Clarence Regis and Lorrea Cueva emerged victorious in the College Youth Standard Close.

Two Labangon pairs qualified to the Grand Finale slated July 31.

Ryan Bacalla and Jishia Montero won the Junior Standard Close dance, while John and Angela Angel topped in the Special Parent and Child event.
Other winners are the pairs of Benjamin Torillo and Francine Otero (Talamban) in the Juvenile Latin event, David Agsoy and Odette Bermudez (Inayawan) in the Standard College Youth Close dance, Scent and Sean Baclay (City Central) in the Juvenile Standard.
