WITH ITS GOAL of uniting the running community in Cebu, the Infinitea Runners Club, formerly known as the A Runners Circle (ARC) Running Club, will organize a non-competitive 10-kilometer fun run tomorrow at the City Times Square in Mandaue City.

The event is part of the group’s celebration of its first year anniversary.

Infinitea RC, which is headed by its president John Chad Alcano and multi-awarded long distance runners Noel Tillor and Rhoda Oporto, started with just 16 members but has now grown to 200 active members, some based abroad.

“We want to let Cebu know that Infinitea Runners Club is here and we are proud that we’ve reached our first anniversary,” said Infinitea CEO Raphael Cariquitan.

The run starts with a mass that will be celebrated by the club’s priest members. The run will kick off at 5:30 in the morning.

More than 50 runners are expected to join this fun run but organizers are inviting more runners to join.

“We want everyone to join us regardless of what club or affiliation they come from. Everyone is welcome to join us and have fun in running,” added Cariquitan.

Those who want to join don’t have to pay a registration fee. Still, raffle prizes will be given out after the run.
