THE lotto winner from Cebu is a woman in her mid-60s, who went to the Philippine Charity and Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Cebu to verify if the ticket she was holding contained the winning lotto numbers.
Glenn Jesus Rada, manager of the PCSO Cebu branch in Cebu City, said the woman was accompanied by her grandson to their office located on S. Osmeña Road in North Reclamation Area (NRA).
In a phone interview yesterday afternoon, Rada said that the woman was asked to proceed to their office in Manila and bring two valid identification cards to claim her prize.
She was the winner of the winning 6/55 lotto combination 13-35-24-09-06-53 drawn last July 30.
She won the jackpot prize of P272,868,832.
The 6/55 Grand Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
According to Rada, the woman bought her ticket from their ticket outlet inside Ayala Center Cebu.
The woman can claim her prize after two days. She will be issued a check for her win.
The lotto winner was the first one for this year in Cebu.
No additional details were provided by PCSO on the identity of the winner, for security reasons.
The last time someone won in Cebu was in 2014. He was a resident of Barangay Talamban in Cebu City.
He won the 6/55 Grand Lotto jackpot prize of P294.6 million.
