A 15-year-old girl was found dead last Wednesday by her father, who found her body hanging inside her room with one end of the nylon rope tied to her neck with the other end to the ceiling of their house in a barangay in a southern Cebu town.
According to police investigation, the girl had been depressed after her boyfriend, who was also her schoolmate broke up with her.
Her classmates told the southern town’s police investigator that the victim was so depressed that she considered transferring to another school because she could not bear to see her boyfriend being with another schoolmate.
Last Wednesday, her father told police that her daughter who was in her room failed to come down for supper, and so he went up to check and found her dead inside her room instead.
The police investigator said there was no suicide note, but they believed it was apparently a case of suicide.
