Cebuanos Suson, Abarquez compete in Oro Juniors Tennis Championships

CEBUANO tennis standouts Marc Nicole Suson and Elizabeth Abarquez test their mettle against some of the country’s top netters in the Oro Juniors Tennis Championships, which gets underway today in Cagayan de Oro.

The 15-year-old Abarquez, a native of Carcar City, southern Cebu, will be competing in the 16-under and 18-under girls age group categories.

She will start her campaign against Alexia Blanche Mosqueda at 4 p.m. in the 16-under girls classification before taking on Alexia’s older sister Anjelica Mosqueda in the 18-under division tomorrow.

The 16-year-old Suson will have to wait for the winner in Vince Serino-Ken Suzuki match in the 16-under boys category, which will be played at 11 a.m. today.
