TWENTY five Muslim community leaders in Cebu City visited the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) to manifest their support in peace-keeping efforts nearly two days after the bombing incident in Davao City.

Supt. Timmar Alam, CCPO deputy director for operations, met with the leaders and said they committed to helping the police monitor any security threats to Cebu City.

“Rest assured the Cebu City Police strictly following the order putting country nationwide full alert status. Preventive measures wil be fully implemented,” Alam said.

Alam also encouraged the public to also inform to them of any suspicious looking personalities and luggage in the area.

Fredie “Muhammad Arafat” S. Lozano, president of the Islamic Propagation Society of Cebu Inc., condemned last Friday’s bombing in Davao City.

“We renew our vow to support the police. We love Cebu. We want Cebu to be peaceful,” Lozano said. There are 10,000 Muslims in Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City.
