Apas Barangay captain Ramil Ayuman has ordered the project manager of Majestic Legacy Development Corp. to cease and desist from pursuing the ongoing excavation at the company’s project site in Villa Amores II in the barangay to prevent the possible occurrence of landslides in the area.

In his Sept. 5 order, Ayuman directed the property firm’s project manager to first hold a dialog with affected families and to address their concerns on the instability of soil close to the project site.

“I beg to stress that your refusal or failure to comply (with) the same would cause delay of your project, criminal, civil and/or administrative violations,” said Ayuman’s order.

Engineer Josefa Ylanan, acting head of the Office of the Building Official (OBO), was furnished a copy of the order, which was issued at 1 p.m. on Monday.
