Five persons from Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City were taken to the hospital after they reportedly fell ill due to eating tulingan (frigate tuna) on Monday noon.

The victims were identified as Jessie Navarro, 43; his wife Estrelita, 37; brother Ernesto, 46, and his two kids aged two and six.

Nagiel Banacia, Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CCDRRMO) chief, said the victims are recuperating at the Cebu City Medical Center.

“I could not elaborate on their condition. Only the doctors can. But based on the information I got, they felt bad after eating tulingan,” he said in a phone interview.
