FOLLOWING the huge success of last Saturday’s Bantawan Night Fun Run 2016 in Barangay Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City, organizers are already planning to stage another one next month.

Poblacion Pardo Barangay Captain Altea Racuya Lim said the clamor is high to have another fun run.

Around 600 runners joined the fun run organized by the Barangay Council of Poblacion Pardo headed by Racuya-Lim and Coco Running of race director Joel Juarez.

The event was highlighted with a bubble foam party after a three-kilometer run that traversed through Cebu South Highway’s seaside area.

“Nothing bad happened, and the cooperation of the people contributed hugely to the event’s success. And we are very happy that a lot of the surrenderees (sic) who are alleged drug users and pushers joined the run because they are obliged to join this community activity,” said Racuya-Lim.

“We are very happy with the result, and we will make sure that we will have another run before the year ends,” Racuya-Lim added.

Juarez said his concept of a bubble foam party during a fun run will surely become a hit as it will encourage the youth to get into running while having fun.
The noncompetitive race handed out special awards for the best costumed runner, and special prizes were raffled off.
