A drug suspect who went wild last Sunday afternoon in Barangay Tubod, Toledo City was killed in a shootout with policemen.

Victim Felix Ruben was pronounced dead by attending physician at the Toledo District Hospital. According to PO3 Carlos Barluado, desk officer of Toledo City Police Office, Ruben went wild and threw stones into the house of his uncle Felipe.

He retreated when the SWAT personnel arrived. But after a couple of hours, Ruben, who was already carrying a .357 revolver, again went on rampage, without knowing that some of the responding cops decided to remain in the area.

When the cops appeared, Ruben fired at them but missed. The policemen retaliated and hit the suspect. Barluado said Ruben belonged in their watch list but did not surrender through Oplan Tokhang.
