New Cebu provincial police chief takes over

A Pangasinan native took over as chief of the Cebu provincial police at 3 pm Monday.
Senior Supt. Eric Noble challenged Cebu police to do more in the campaign against illegal drugs. Noble’s immediate predecessor, Senior Supt. Jose Macanas, wasn’t present during the ceremony at the CPPO headquarters.
“Let’s revive the warrior spirit of Lapu-Lapu. Let’s improve our performance. To policemen who are into illegal drugs, I consider you an enemy. Just wait. Meron kayong paglalagyan (there’s a place for you),” he said.
