SNAPPING photos with some of the brightest South Korean stars served as a bonus to Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola who was awarded Best Asia Pacific Star last Sunday.
The sexy actress is the first Filipino to receive the recognition.
“I am so happy to be standing here in front of you, and I am greatly honored to be the Filipina recipient of Best Asia Pacific Star Award. Tonight is a celebration of culture exchange and opening up of new opportunities in Asia,” Jessy said in her speech.
Jessy, who has been named as the honorary Korean Tourism Ambassador to the Philippines, had her photos taken with Choi Jin-woong, Shin Dong-yup, Honey Lee, Chae Jung-an and “Descendants of the Sun” lead actor Song Joong-ki during the 5th Asia Pacific Actors Network (Apan) Star Awards.
The actress, likewise, left her hand print along with other stars like Kim Min-seok, who starred in “Descendants of the Sun” and “Doctors.”

Instagram and playfully wrote the caption: “First time to do this hand print thingy. Kala ko maiiwan kamay ko eh.”
The Apan (Asia Pacific Actors Network) Star Awards recognizes excellent Korean dramas that aired from October (of the previous year) to September of the current year.
