Six tied at the top after four rounds

SIX WOODPUSHERS were tied after the first four rounds of the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (CEPCA) 26th Anniversary Chess Cup at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

Mario Mangubat, Merben Roque, Diego Abraham Caparino, Carlos Moreno, Rommel Ganzon and Jethro Esplenada remained unbeaten after four rounds to create a logjam at the top of this nine-round Swiss system competition.

Jimmy Ty, Allan Pason, Anthony Makinano, Aller Somosot, Ronald Ganzon, and Hector Villamora were at second place with 3.5 points. The top seed, International Master (IM) Kim Steven Yap has 3.0 points along with 20 other woodpushers.
