THE City of Bogo, northern Cebu, honored one of its own in multi-titled long distance runner Noel Tillor.

A resolution was passed and was unanimously approved by the city council to commend Tillor’s contribution to the City of Bogo by winning major foot races in and outside Cebu.

The former National Milo Marathon Cebu leg champion is a native of Barangay Cogon, Bogo City. The 31-year-old Tillor made waves abroad when he dominated the 2016 Borneo International Marathon in Malaysia. He is also the defending champion of this year’s Cebu Marathon 42k all Filipino categories and became a champion in various local fun runs here in Cebu.

The commendation was endorsed by councilor Noel Seno, the chairman of the Committee on Sports Development, Games and Amusement of Bogo City.

Tillor has an upcoming running event co-organized by his running team, the Infinitea Running Club, slated November 27. It will start and end at the Parkmall grounds in Mandaue City.

The event, which is for the benefit of the Don Potenciano Catarata Memorial National High School of Bogo City, will have a 3k, 5k and 10k distance.
