Five arrested in separate drug busts

OPERATIVES of the regional Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a top suspected drug dealer in a drug bust at A. Lopez Street, Barangay Calamba in Cebu City last Sunday.

The 55-year-old suspect identified as Rosalia “Saling” Villanueva Arabis is a resident of Barangay Calamba in Cebu City and can dispose of 50 to 100 grams of shabu a week.

PDEA regional director Yogi Filemon Ruiz said operatives seized from her possession several grams of shabu worth P18,000 and P500 marked money.

She is detained at PDEA’s detention cell pending the filing of charges against her.

Last Saturday, PDEA also arrested four drug suspects in a joint operation with the Police Regional Office’s anti-drug task force groups.

The suspects were identified as Jerry Tan Lim, Mark Ang Lim, Alexander Calderon Go and Fernando Calderon Go.

Taken from their possession were five packs of shabu weighing 70 grams and worth P252,000, assorted drug paraphernalia and one cell phone.
