The University of San Carlos (USC) Lady Warriors survived an opening set defeat and engineered a 22-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 victory against the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Lady Panthers to take the third place honors in the Cesafi women’s volleyball tournament Saturday evening at the USC Main gym.

The Lady Panthers played solid defense to start the game as they forced the Lady Warriors to commit ten unforced errors, which allowed them to take the opening set.

But the Lady Warriors, who also finished third last year, roared back to take the next three sets capped off by an error from USPF’s Baby Jane Almerol that sealed the win.
