In anticipation of the 3rd anniversary when supertyphoon Yolanda wreaked havoc in the Visayas, a Cebu-based non-government organization held a forum on Monday called ““Yolanda Survivors Three Years After: The Devastation Continues.”

The forum, which was organized by Community Empowerment Resource Network Inc. (Cernet) and was held at the St. Theresa’s College, aims to shed light on the plight of the Yolanda victims years after the typhoon has devastated the country.

The forum is an assessment of how the survivors fared three years after Yolanda hit the country, said Kristina Muñoz, Cernet executive director.

Supertyphoon Yolanda cut a swath of destruction and death in Eastern and Central Visayas on Nov. 8, 2013.
