THE UNIVERSITY of the Visayas begins its drive for double crowns as they vie for championships in both the SBP and Passerelle divisions in the Visayas Regional Finals of the Milo-backed SBP Passerelle Tournament today at the Capiz Gym in Roxas City.

The road, though, will be littered with challenges as UV’s SBP squad must hurdle the likes of Hua Siong College of Iloilo, Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion of Roxas and the heavily favored University of St. La Salle from Bacolod.

UV has more than a fair shot at taking the title and booking a spot in the national finals as it boasts of the likes of Franc Gabunada, Sean Salarza, Mike Monton and Daniel Padilla.

On the other hand, UV’s Passerelle team will be challenged by Tay Tung High School from Bacolod, St. Roberts International School of Iloilo and Hercor College of Roxas City.

Head coach Jaymar Canoy will be deploying his main weapons, Osias Padilla, Steve Nash Enriquez and Joshua Canoy.
