Cum laude graduates and bar or board topnotchers are needed at the Cebu City Hall.
Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said yesterday that the city government will again hire competitive individuals like cum laude graduates and bar or board topnotchers to help streamline processes at city hall.
“Acceptance will be as strict as before. Cum laudes and board/bar topnotchers only. The training will not be easy, and we cannot offer you the pay a private company can, but I offer you the opportunity to better the lives of your fellow Cebuanos and I promise you that you will learn things that will stay with you for the rest of your lives,” the mayor said in a public post on his official Facebook page.
His recruits will consist the Mayor’s Management Team (MMT).
Osmeña said he intends to personally train his recruits to make sure that they are able to implement his administration’s programs well.
The Osmeña administration adhere to a slogan, “There’s always a better way.”
Osmeña said his MMT will act as “middle managers” and will be assigned to different departments and offices in city hall where they will help improve bureaucratic red tape in city hall processes, among others.
The mayor said he will be personally teaching and handling applicants who will qualify during a five-day training program scheduled in February next year before they will be deployed to their specific office assignments.
Interested applicants may contact city hall’s Human Resources Development Office.
