EXCESSIVE drinking has led to the arrest of a fire officer who became unruly and kicked two police officials during the Christmas party of the local government of Naga City.

Naga City Fire Station safety inspector Fire Officer 2 Armand Rey Aberion, 37, married, of Barangay Pitalo, San Fernando town, landed in jail after the incident.

According to Supt. Gregorio Galsem, chief of Naga City Police Station, they were at the Enan Chiong activity center around 10 p.m. last Friday to provide security to party-goers. Aberion allegedly poured wine on the head of a 15-year-old waiter of catering services, prompting them to pacify Aberion and ask him to calm down.

But instead, Aberion went wild. Galsem and his deputy senior inspector Adrian Nalua, along with PO3 Keth Nuñeza and PO1 Anastacio Serigon, tried to bring the fire officer outside the activity center, but he allegedly resisted and kicked all the cops around him.

Galsem said that Aberion was too drunk when the incident happened.

He added that even if Aberion would ask forgiveness, they still would file a case against him.

A case of alarm and scandal, child abuse, direct assault and resistance for serious disobedience to an agent or person in authority will be filed against the fireman.
