The San Miguel Beermen inched closer to bagging the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup crown after they downed the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings, 94-85, in Game 4 of their best-of-seven championship series Friday night at the Araneta Coliseum.
San Miguel led by as many as 26 points in the third period then held off Ginebra’s repeated rallies in the fourth to take a critical 3-1 series lead.
The Beermen will have a chance to win their 23rd crown in the league when they face the Kings anew in Game 5 set on Sunday.
