Ph malditas blank iraq in fifa qualifiers

THE Philippine Women’s National Football Team also known as the Philippine Malditas crushed Iraq, 4-0 Wednesday night for their second straight victory in Group A in the ongoing Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s FIFA Qualifiers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The win allowed the Filipinas to climb to second place with six points behind leader Jordan which also has six points but with a higher goal difference.
Last Tuesday, the Philippine Malditas also defeated United Arab Emirates, 4-0 with forward Eva Madarang scoring two goals.

Last Wednesday, Madarang opened the Malditas’ scoring with a goal in the 21st minute before defender Hali Long added a goal in the 44th.

In the second half, the country got goals from midfielder Sara Isobel Arrieta Castañeda (46th minute) and defender Alesa Nazareno Dolino (48th minute).

Today, the Malditas will play host Tajikistan at the Republican Central Stadium while they meet Bahrain and Jordan on April 10 and 12, respectively.
