THE World Vision Run fires off today at the Cebu Business Park.
A total of 1,500 runners, including some local celebrities, are expected to answer the starting gun at 4 a.m.
Race director Kenneth Casquejo of Kinetic Running, the run will push even if it rains.
Casquejo said most of the participants signed up for the 10-kilometer and 5k distances.
The race will also have the 100-meter kiddie dash, 3k and 21k distances.
The event will be the highlight of the World Vision Philippines’ 60th anniversary celebration. It is the first time that the race is held in Cebu.
The race was regularly held in Manila since the organization was established in Guimaras Island in 1957. /REPORTER GLENDALE G. ROSAL
