Four nabbed in separate drug operations in Minglanilla, Toledo City

Three men and a woman were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Minglanilla town and Toledo City on Saturday.

Police also confiscated 37 sachets, 3 medium-size packs and a large pack of suspected shabu from the suspects.

First to fall were Jaylou delos Reyes Magallon, 32, of barangay Tunghaan, Lenwel Tudiot, 24, and Gretchen Quimada, 31, who are both residents of Barangay Tungkop, in Minglanilla town, 15 km south of Cebu City, during a buy-bust operation in the town at 10 p.m. on Saturday, said PO2 Tajer Rajab of the Minglanilla Police Station.

Rajab said that Supt. Dexter Calacar, Minglanilla Police Station chief, led the buy-bust operation.

Recovered from the suspects were 12 sachets, 2 medium size packs, and a large pack of suspected shabu.

The three suspects were detained at the Minglanilla Police Station pending the filing of charges.

At near midnight, in Toledo City, 50 km west of Cebu City, police arrested Jonas Largo, 30, of Talisay City, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion.

PO2 Joselito Genon of the Toledo City Police said that the suspect had been identified as a new drug player in the area.

Genon said they believed Largo was selling illegal drugs in Talisay City before.

Confiscated from the suspect were 21 sachets of illegal drugs and 2 bullets of a .45 caliber pistol.

Largo was detained at the Toledo Police Station pending the filing of charges.
