FOR its seventh run this year, Primary Homerun successfully raised P416,000 for the benefit of the deserving scholars of School of Knowledge for Industrial Labor, Leadership and Service (SKILLS) of the Primary Structures Educational Foundation, Inc. (PSEFI).
According to PSEFI COO Paulette Liu, there will be 20 Senior High scholars from SKILLS who will be granted with free tuition fees this year.
Held last July 2 at Cebu Business Park, the event had over 1,410 runners – 1,003 runners for the 3K distance, 189 for the 6K, and 218 for the 12K category.
An added challenge for the runners this year was the number of obstacles placed along the route. 12K distance runners also went uphill with their route’s turning point located near Marco Polo Hotel in Nivel Hills, Lahug.
Primary Homerun is an annual running event organized by the Primary Group of Builders. It aims to raise funds to shoulder the tuition fees of the scholars of PSEFI-SKILLS, a training institution offering technical-vocational courses focusing on construction and housekeeping. /PR
