The 2007 Petron Global Carrier and the 2006 Prince Warehouse overcame their respective opponents to forge a three-way tie for first place in Division C of the 22nd Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association Basketball Tournament Powered by Common Ground on Wednesday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

Petron clobbered 2008 Cottonseed, 64-46, while Prince Warehouse slipped past 2009 Crossfit Subtero-Primo Builders. 2007, 2009 and the People’s General 2015 are all tied at the top of Division C with similar 2-0 win-loss records.

Karl de Pio led Batch 2007 with a near double-double of 16 points and eight rebounds while Christian Pepito, Raymund Ortiz and Martin Uy connived to contribute 33 markers.

Cottonseed remained winless in two games.

Meanwhile, Jan Galo and Uriel Lim spearheaded Batch 2006’s attack as the former had 17 points, 15 of which came from behind the three-point arc, while adding four rebounds, two assists and the same number of steals. Lim on the other hand, had 14 markers.

The loss dropped Batch 2009 to an even 1-1 record.

The 2013 Hyksos escaped the 2003 Kitrol, 48-47, to nab their very first win of the season, and send their victims to their third straight loss.
