Panthers regain Elite Basketball Club title
THE PANTHERS were once again champions of the Elite Basketball Club – Cebu Season 9 as they dethroned the defending titleholders Sharks, 81-72, last Friday at the Visayan Glass gym in Guadalupe, Cebu City.
The Panthers reclaimed their glory once again in the tournament after falling short in the semifinals last season.
Rorie Paspie carried the Panthers with his 18-point production while Neil Buot and Mark Panerio contributed 13 each.
Prince Malana paced the Sharks with 13 while Niño Tidoy and Sean Povadora backed him up with 12 and 11, respectively.
The tournament is organized by Tough Gear Sportswear and is made possible by U Shape Up Gym and Spa, Cobra Energy Drink, Vdrink Malunggay Juice, and Print Ideas.
