GLOBAL CEBU FC suffered a close 1-0 loss to rival Ceres Negros FC in the Philippines Football League (PFL) last Sunday night at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.

Fil-German Stephan Schrock unleashed a 25-foot yard rocket from the midfield in the 79th minute to give Ceres the much-needed victory.

Ceres improved to 32 points for fourth place in the standings while Global Cebu remained at third with 34 points.

During the game, Global Cebu FC team captain Misagh Bahadoran had to be taken out after dislocating his shoulder in the 17th minute of the first half.

Global Cebu plays next in the Singapore Cup on Wednesday and Saturday against Hougang FC. The team returns Oct. 15 for a PFL match against JP Voltes.
