Soldier freed after pledging to pay woman’s burial

A soldier detained for hitting a housewife who crossed the highway of Medellin town was released after promising to pay her burial expenses.

Kevin Sumosa, a Boholano, was assigned to Medellin town when the incident occurred. He came from Cebu City and was headed home when he accidentally crashed his motorcycle onto Marlyn Romero whom he failed to spot in time.
