CEBUANO VOLLEYBALL fans will be in for a treat next year as the Governor’s Cup Volleyball Tournament returns after an eight-year hiatus in February, 2018.

The Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) confirmed this after a meeting last Tuesday.

The prestigious volleyball tournament was last held in 2009 after it was shelved due to a change in the administration.

Just like before, the tournament will feature teams from each municipality of the Province of Cebu. There are at least 30 teams who confirmed their participation but the deadline for submission of participation was extended until January 5, according to CPSC Executive Director Ramil P. Abing.

The tournament is expected to start on February 18.
