More than 200 employees of Barangay Guadalupe in Cebu City were subjected to a surprise drug test by the City’s Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (Cosap) on Tuesday.

Garry Lao, Cosap executive director, said that Guadalupe is the fourth barangay to undergo their drug test after Barangay Kasambagan, Day-as, and Pamotan.

“Tungod sa kadaghan sa mga employees diri sa Barangay Guadalupe, madugay ta og human sa drug test. (Because of the bigger number of employees in Barangay Guadalupe, we took longer to finish the drug test) We expected at least 150 employees lang, but they have a total of 280 employees and today 8 are absent,” Lao said.

He said that he was asked by Guadalupe Barangay Captain Michael Gacasan to conduct the drug test.

They expected to get the drug test results on Thursday this week.
