Kris Aquino makes movie comeback; to star in Star Cinema film with Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto
KRIS Aquino is making a comeback on the big screen and will be working with Star Cinema for an upcoming film which also stars Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.
Star Cinema, in its official Twitter account, announced that the new film will be titled “I Love You, Hater.” It will be directed by Giselle Andres.
Aquino signed a contract with Star Cinema yesterday after which a story conference was held.
“I super loved “Love You To The Stars and Back,” Aquino said, referring to the love team’s 2017 movie directed by Antoinette Jadaone.
She is co-managed by Cornerstone Entertainment Inc.
Before she signed the contract yesterday, Aquino slammed ex-husband James Yap in an Instagram post.
She started with, “Ngayon patas na tayo, hindi na ko pwedeng ma-accuse ng power tripping. NANAHIMIK ako for so long—even when you crossed the line when promoting that bar you are part owner of.”
She also described Yap as “trying hard” who cried in a TV Patrol interview in 2013 talking about Bimby’s custody.
“ … of course pinagaksayahan mo siya ng panahon five years ago kasi nasa Malacañang ang Tito niya,” Aquino said.
She also accused Yap of not giving his part of Bimby’s tuition because he was not consulted that their son was transferred to another school.
She revealed that she followed the financial agreement during their annulment which allegedly gave Yap, “millions.”
In 2014, both signed a compromise child support but Aquino said, “Once ka lang nag abot ng half mo pang education ni Bimby after the signing.”
Aquino also mentioned how their son has been bullied by netizens and labelled “baklain” and how the 11-year-old has been dealing with it.
Quoting Bimby, Aquino said: “Mom—who cares? My own biological dad said that about me in court and he’s said it so many other times?”
What triggered Aquino’s post was Yap’s Instagram birthday greeting for Bimby who turned 11 last Thursday.
“Happy birthday Bimb! I miss you and think about you everyday. Alam ko na ang tagal na natin di nakapagspend ng time together at di nagkikita but I want you to know that I’m always here for you. I will always be your papa,” the basketball star said.
Aquino continued: “So, bakit nga ba hindi kayo nagkikita? Ganito ka simple—wala ka nang pakinabang kay Bimb. Wala na kasi kaming “power” so bakit ka pa ba didikit?”
Netizens cheered Aquino on and was even amused at how she inserted an endorsement in her post against Yap.
She ended her post with: “I am ready to be bashed for washing our dirty laundry (of course w/ Ariel Antibac with the power of Safeguard) on IG BUT this mother has had it w/ half truths & hypocrisy & needed to make a stand for truth. #lookwhatyoumademedo.”
Aquino and Yap ended their marriage in 2010 after five years of being together.
