AS STRATEGIC locations go, City di Mare couldn’t be more promising.
The sprawling 50-hectare township at the Cebu South Road Properties (SRP) has the flagship regional mall development of Filinvest Lifemalls called IL Corso on its premises, one that centers on a unique premise of un-malling that is different on two standout features: First, the mall will feature an iconic lighthouse that will soon house retail space as well as a restaurant for a refreshing new retail experience. Second, it is right next to the waters between Cebu and Bohol.
Because of this, City di Mare was just revealed as the newest hub for Air Juan Aviation, which launched its first seaplane terminal here in January of this year, with operations set to begin in April, just in time for summer escapades.
“City di Mare promotes the integration of the live-work-play lifestyle with the abundance of greens and open spaces as backdrop,” reiterates Don Ubaldo, Filinvest’s Senior Assistant Vice President for Townships.
“Right from the start of planning, we have always envisioned it to become a one-stop shop for all of life’s necessities given the proximity of residential, retail, office, and even institutional components in one place.
A master-planned township development like City di Mare has so much to offer to everyone, and we are excited that locators like IL Corso have gradually started operations.
A mixed-use development promoting the live-work-play lifestyle, the live component is fulfilled by the Sanremo Oasis, a mid-rise residential community, and the resort-themed Amalfi.
A deliberately masterplanned community with generous open spaces all intricately woven on green pedestrian-friendly road networks, City di Mare is not only an ideal address to live and work, but inevitably becomes the prime choice for large-scale outdoor events in Cebu.
City di Mare previously hosted Color Manila Run, music festival Lifedance, and weekend food market Sugbo Mercado, making it an epic playground and venue for events.
With future plans for office buildings, the work component is also closer to home.
As the development in Cebu expands beyond its already congested center, City di Mare is positioned perfectly as the gateway to the island’s southern delights: whether it be canyoneering in Kawasan falls, swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, hiking Cebu’s highest peak in Dalaguete, seeking the elusive Cebu Flowerpecker in Nug-as forest in Alcoy, cruising the Bojo river in Aloguinsan, or exploring Moalboal’s famous dive spots, the shift to living closer to the south makes perfect sense.
And with the recently-launched operations of AirJuan anchored in the property, City di Mare is now also the natural conduit to the neighboring islands.
One can now fly to the other island destinations via seaplanes docked at City di Mare, effectively cutting travel time further by avoiding the traffic congestion to the airport in Mactan, or even long hours of land travel on the coastal highway by bus or private cars.
It’s an exciting time for the South, and City di Mare is right at the gateway to all the action!
