Barili downs Moalboal, takes South Division Bracket 4 lead

BARILI claimed its second straight victory in the South Division Bracket 4 of the Governor’s Cup Inter-Cities/Municipalities Basketball Tournament last Saturday by thrashing Moalboal, 91-79, at the Barili Municipal Gymnasium.

With the win, Barili now has the hold of the lead in its bracket with two wins and no losses. Moalboal, on the other hand, suffered its third loss without a win.

In South Division Bracket 3, Oslob clinched its first victory after two consecutive losses by beating the visiting Samboan, 80-78, at the Oslob Municipal Gymnasium.

Former bracket leader Ginatilan wasn’t as successful as it suffered its first defeat in three games, losing to Santander, 95-77.

Santander earned its first win in the tournament after two losses.

Alegria took the lead in the bracket as it improved to 3-0 (win-loss) following an 86-68 win over Badian.
